Small dots on windshield

So I’ve noticed that when my car faces direct sunlight, all these super small dots become very noticeable and I have no idea what they are or how to get rid of them. I think they might be chips but there’s quite a bit of them as you can see in the photo if you look closely. I’ve cleaned my windshield thoroughly and it didn’t do anything...

Help?

Try using a clar bar and thoroughly clean it maybe it’s just embedded dirt. My crv has that too but i haven’t gotten around to try and get rid of it

Most likely chips. Very common on an older windshield.

my 12 year old windshield is 10x worse. After 260K miles, it's very rough. Only way to remedy that is to get another windshield. Call safelite, they seem to be reputable. (I want to say about $200)

260k miles and you haven't broken the windshield? Wow!

Nope, luck AF, right? Although the small dots on the windshield become incredibly annoying come spring/fall time when the sun hits them. All those dots make visibility very difficult. $200 isn't much (for my sanity).

Try a wet razor and clay bar. if nothing you can buff the windshield see if it helps
