are there any compatible parts between the usdm civic sedans and jdm civic sedans?
to be more specific... i have an FD1 here in australia and was looking to source a replacement rear bumper. honda have given me a very expensive price to replace the bumper, but the rear bumper of the usdm civic sedans seem to be quite similar. so, would i be able to install a usdm civic sedan rear bumper onto my fd1?

The exhaust tip cutout is different on FD bumpers because FD1s have dual exhaust tips and all FGs and FAs have single exhausts.

besides that problem, would the FG and FA sedan rear bumpers be able to directly be installed onto an FD?

there's quite a few swappable parts for the FD and FA vehicles.

The rear bumper doesn't actually have an exhaust cutout, so the below information is sort of incorrect. the FD2 bumper is different, but the FD1 and FA bumpers are generally the same.

you may need to modify the USDM bumper slightly to fit a FD taillight assembly.

Honestly, by the time you ship a bumper from the US, get it painted, and fit it, it'll probably cost you the same.

the FG bumper will not fit a FD or a FA.

What does "19X" mean as the first 3 digit of the VIN? I know 1 is for America but anyone know what 9X mean?

You have an FD1. So you have a standard (non Type-R) civic with a 1.8L 140hp engine.
My VIN is JHMFD16707S203260. I just can't figure out if my Civic is a DX, LX or EX model. I mean, I do have electric windows and a sunroof and controls on the wheel, but I don't have a navi. Can you even tell that by knowing only the VIN code? Sorry in advance, if this is a stupid question..

If you use a Vin Decoder it'll indicate the trim your civic is (I should note that you won't be able to find that many sites that can decode your VIN, most of the VIN decoders mainly have VIN's from North America and those sites will say your VIN is invalid or does not exist). As for the trims you listed, your vehicle is none of them. I believe that only 8th Gen Civics that were made in North America used those trim names. FD civics used different trims names. Your own is probably 1.8 something judging by this website (it's the only site I found that had information on your VIN): https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/check...FD16707S203260
