you have to go stage 1, the vtec on stage 2 is set low for the headers. as long as you still have the intake on there stage 1 will be the best.

stage 2 wont hurt anything but i doubt it will run right

Actually Hondata originally tuned stage 2 with stock header and exhaust. It'll run just fine. They recommend an aftermarket intake since the vaccum pulled from the blower will collapse the stock intake tubing, but he won't have that problem.

I say go stage 2 and get the most out of it.

i wouldn't keep the header on if you're in California. they might want to have a smog ref check your car if it is an aftermarket exhaust ticket. (im sure there is a positive correlation between aftermarket exhausts and not passing smog...)

my opinion would be to remove all aftermarket exhaust pieces (you can leave intake) and test stock. the same thing happened to my friend and he thought it was just a noise ticket, they ended up doing a visual test on his car...needless to say they fined him for tampering with the emissions device.

stage 2 will work with just a 4-1 header like megan racing or comptech with the stock cat in place, and it will pass smog. However the vibrant HFC passes in most states but not in CA, CARB requirements are very strict.

We're talking about the Cobb Accessport, this comment is irrelevant.

Cobb stage 2 maps require header and aftermarket exhaust with stage 2. As i said before, not saying it won't work, but it won't run properly. Change the map to stage 1, and when you put the exhaust back on go back to stage 2. That's the great thing about the Accessport.

The whole reason you bought it was to increase HP, maybe increase MPG...why risk losing HP and MPG by running the incorrect map? I don't see the logic.
