that cause the the throttle body is sitting further away from the manifold, due to the adapter spacing it out , why are you using an intake thats smaller than the throttle body ,
3.5 inch intake with j37 is the ideal setup

I saw that the injen had the best hp gains when I did my research, then got the biggest throttle body that I could find for the bucks, then bought a 3"-4" elbow hose to match the throttle body/CAI and I have had pretty good gains. I know is bc of the throttle body size and adapter, and regardless of the size of the CAI, it will still be sitting in the same spot; what I was wondering is how ppl corrected this issu (clutch clearance w/ TB). I am about to put the dremmel to the work on both ends; lol

not as much gains as you think. You are coming in with a small diameter, expanding it to the J37 TB size, then reducing it back to stock size into the IM. Sure it's something but maybe 1 hp at the max with the TB.

I would post a picture of the issue you are having. Will likely get more help that way.
