Well, not today, but it all started last week when some ahole decided to punch the top of my trunk. After going to the body shop, I asked them if they could "clean up" my hood and they quoted me a fair (to me) price. This was the shop that also painted my '10 front bumper a while back. Anyway they offered to install it and I wasn't about to say no. I ended up assembling the front bumper well into the night (installed my xb LED fogs, BTW, they fit like a glove) and handed the assembly to them the next day.

Pics to come......................

Been very busy as of late, but like i mentioned, this happened a couple of weeks ago.

Went to the body shop where I had previous damage/painting done. They painted my front 2010 bumper a while back. Guy asked if I even installed it and offered to do so. That pushed me to put the 2010 bumper together that night (with my morimoto xb led fogs) and drop it off. I asked about them touching up my slightly pitted hood. They did.

I'll post pic later today.............

Time to put it together.......

So with my bumper parts in my basement sitting there for what seems to be 2 years, i got everything together hoping I had everything necessary. I had all the parts except for some strange clips/screw for the fog lights. Oh well.

lining everything up

Eyeing the OEM fogs vs. the Morimoto xb fogs.

Everything pretty much snapped on.

time to remove the halogen fogs with the LED ones.

Very easy, just trying to be careful not to strip the philips screws.

Bracket surrounding the OEM (halogen) fogs.

Like a glove!!

close up.

I started with light out, but had to feed my kids and take them to bed. Had to finish at night where I have limited light in the playroom (carpet so the bumper isn't scratched/scuffed). Having a "miners light" helps a ton!

Wiring prepping.

Can't remember where I got these connectors. Pretty sure they came with the LED fogs.

Mark them (-/+), seal the connection and apply some Dielectric grease.

Done.

Screwing the grill on.

Finishing up the grill.

Protecting the lens, hopefully they work.

Done, ready to go.

A few days later, I applied a clear bra to it. Because my commute is mainly highway, road rash is for real!! When I got my rig in '07, the rash was so bad I had to trash my bumper in '09. It was so pitted the body shop pretty much laughed in my face when I asked for them to repair it.

I'll post on the clear bra install later.

Obligatory before/after pic;

Nice! How do you like the new bumper? I think the 09-11 front bumper looks so much sharper and cleaner!

I love it, looks like another car (to me). After 12 years of ownership, it's nice to see it "refreshed". Downside is that installing it this time of year is unnerving because of the rock salt that is used on the road (hence the clear bra). On the new hood I got, not 5 days went by and I already have a stone chip. Of course, a hood clear bra will be installed in a couple of months (when the paint cures). Hopefully I don't get more.

Been busy in the last few weeks, not perfect, but still damn happy with the result.

With winter way far from the end, clear's gonna have a good time to cure/harden.

They'll be replacing my mini GPs (GP racing GR3).

Installed the clear bra, 3M something or other pro series. Whatever. Anyway, I didn't feel like paying someone big bucks to do it.

temp reached 50 so I went to work. Got some hot/warm water and washed the front bumper.

Fairly easy to do, if you have a second person it would make it easier.

Kit came with 2 empty bottles (one for shampoo mixture and other alcohol to "tack" it down), squeegee, instructions, etc.

After about 1 hour (maybe less) and LOTS of cursing, I started finish up.

Not bad for a first timer.

Not shown, but there were creases, folds and bubbles, not perfect but I didn't care. Point was to protect the paint.

Next is the hood which I'll do in the next couple of months.

Unfortunately I donít have my R18 anymore.
My dad and I installed a hitch for bikes and wiring for my small utility trailer.
Then 4 days later I was hit in Walmart parking lot by a Ford F 150.
I lost

Total loss

For the age of most of our rigs, we are all a hit and run away from a total loss.

sorry to hear of your loss.

Yeah, when I hit a whitetail last year, I had to fight the insurances to get it fixed.

It's funny/sad, my car is all clean everywhere it was repaired due to accident and/or fixed under warranty, but on the one side untouched, the clear is shredded...

It was 2 days ago actually but I finally washed my car after 1.5 months -_- I was always put off when I would see it would snow or rain the next day so I was like mehh. But yeah I know you should just wash things off regardless to get the gunk off and the salt build up. I miss seeing that shine as I used to wash it weekly during the summer time.

I guess she thought she could get across the road before me.

I stayed with Honda but got a CRv. They said due to the miles 182k and age it was more than 60-70% of the vehicle.

Change my oil/filter/AirFilter/CabinFilter/ATF.

I'm at 266,000 miles.

Car won't pass inspection, when the new bumper with the XB fogs lights were installed, only 1 turned on. Horn is also sounding very strange. Good opportunity to finally install the Accord dual horn. uurghhhhhh

I installed dual horns in my Civic. I got a pair from a 2007 Honda Odyssey for free. They sounds 1000x more legit than the stock horn. I was also able to use the wiring from the parts van which made it easier.

Interesting that the dual horn wiring harness from an Ody will work, nice to know.

If I remember correctly I used one connector and wires from the van and tapped into my existing horn wires.
