8th Gen Civic: How to take apart a Honda switch

So, I have been asked to to make a little video on how to take apart a switch in an 8th Gen Civic.

In this video, I show you how to take apart a hazard button. You might ask why would you need to take apart a switch like this?

Well, for as simple as changing out a burn out light bulb or to change out the bulbs to LEDs.

The video is good but here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Here's the switch...

Taking apart the rear of the switch, to release the inside of the switch from the outside casing, with your thumb and pointing finger pinch in the two tabs inwards. You can also use two flathead screwdrivers, but please be careful as lots of force might be needed. Once they are released just pull it out...

Pop the top off, (release the clips with care)

Remove the other cover

Now you can take apart the last part, like everything else in this switch, it's all just blipped on.

Please use care while taking any clips off as they like to sometimes break.

And this is what it will look like once it's all taken apart and ready for you to do what ever you want to do to it.

Enjoy. ^.^
