Morning All

So I offered some help to Karissa on this so here it goes.

The date is firm, we are not going to change it. As per bring other car groups with us at this point I would perfer to only have 06 civics and up.

When I have a few moment I will post up pics of places we have stopped to either regroup or take pics.

Last year we had a pre-meet with a couple of us in Cloverdale (64/176) then drove into Vancity together to meet with the rest of the crew. I was thinking of arranging that again if there is interest.

That was just my thoughts, it is not written in stone. I am not running this meet I am just helping out. Before the rule was if u were part of the 8th you were welcome to come so I am fine with that as well.

We have done meets with the Ep3 crew before, I would just rather get our schedule figured out before we invited other groups with us so we don't look like a bunch of idiots.

So I found some spots for on the way up to either take a break or regroup.

Porteau Cove

Hard to access on the way up and usually busy. We could stop there on the way back.

Darrel Bay

Looks like a marina but it has a big parking lots on both sides of the highway.

Shannon Falls

I know nothing of this place as I have never been.

Squamish

We usually went to the starbucks to get drinks.

Squamish Valley Road

There is a lot of room to regroup here and somewhat easy to stay grouped together when entering the highway. Park warden might show up, be polite explain what we are doing and let them know we will be gone asap.

After that I didn't find anything. I do know there is a big rest stop on the way back from whistler we can all stop at. It was a good place for pics.

porteau cove is actually easy access evn if your coming from vancouver since they made a nice island for left turn.

shanon falls is the next one forsure since it's big parking lots with nice mountain view on both side.

if dropping by for drink, use the other starbucks located beside the canadiantire since it's big parking lot with a lot less cars parked there.

squamish valley is kind of far away from the highway unless your talking about alice lake. you might wanna turn left from the highway to brakendale, continue to that road till you hit the first intersection. turn right and you can pick which spot you wanna take photo. i say maybe the school area since it has big parking area. if it was me, i would rather take pictures in alice lake though...

I'm working on putting some kind of schedule together with stops, times, details, etc; hope to have it up sometime this weekend if I get the chance.

Still need help on where to park/meet in Whistler. As far as I know from my handful of times in Whistler for parking/meeting are the big gravel lots.... also we still haven't decided what we want to do in Whistler, whether its just hanging out & having dinner in the village & heading back as a group with a few more stops along the way; going up the mountain, wandering, & dinner before heading back again with a few more stops along the way.... I reckon we'll get to Whistler mid/late afternoon with the various stops/pictures unless we want to spend more time stopping along the way.

I NEED INPUT LADIES & GENTS OTHERWISE I'M NOT PUTTING A PLAN TOGETHER FOR THIS!!!

I hope you two can join us for the cruise! See how the x10's bode on the sea to sky

I'm hoping to get the schedule together/posted by Monday so this is your last chance for any input guys! As it is looking thus far I am not planning to do anything major in Whistler except dinner/pictures and focus more on the cruising, adding in more stops for pictures, etc since it looks like the group won't be as big as last year. If you guys want something different speak up! It's your last chance!

If I remember correctly, since the winter olympics I believe they have paved the gravel lots. which is a nice change

speedking (ep3) lives in squamish and knows all the places around there quite well, including whistler. If we do combine the FGFA/EP3s together.. he would be great help in organizing a schedule.

Can we set up a pre-meet list for the people who live in vancouver/rmd/bby etc.
Maybe @ the McDonalds on Boundary/Lougheed?
