haha you guys (richmond) are meeting up with us van/burnaby/new west/surrey peeps which is at new market place @ marine way, burnaby then off we go to westwood honda

suggestions to go to westwood honda.

just as suggestion i know either ways anyone takes, we will all get there.
but since i go to douglas college - david lam campus in coquitlam, here are the ways i usually take.

route #1


this route takes us back, going up boundary, then right on hastings all the way until it turns to barnett hwy, then left on st. johns (still barnet) on your right is westwood honda, just after the lights from ioco road in POMO


route #2


this route takes us to 10th ave in new west, until we hit north road, left on north road, then right on lougheed. imho, this is the worst way to go, tons of traffic lights and thru the years ive been driving to david lam, this consumes the most gas due to stop & go traffic and annoying elevation changes + turning left from lougheed back to barnett is a *****. westwood honda will be on your left. alternatively, we could also take brunette then merge on lougheed, but would still have the same end effect. north road - clarke road is also good, but mini streets with traffic lights are annoying, hence slow slow slow

route #3


this route takes us up gilley road, all the way to burris, then left on burris onto canada way, then right on kensington all the way to the end-- we turn left at first set of lights then right at the second set of lights then left again on sperling. that will take us all the way up to
hastings then its vtak all the way to st. johns (via the fun barnet hwy). left on st.johns all the way to sekzwood honda -- it will be on our right.
imho, this route would be the best one i can suggest. once we pass canada way and kensington, everything is a breeze.
thru my daily drive to school - i will choose this way over brunette-north road-clarke rd since i hate dealing with the lights.

notes:

speed traps at barnett hwy, pls observe the speed limit if you do not want a ticket - the most notorious ones are hidden -- especially the one by the end of barnett hwy -- speed posted is 50 so watch out!

burris-canada way-kensington area are places also notorious for cops that are power-hungry - trying to get their quota for the day. i would suggest turning off fog lights and your bass on your subs - trust me, we're ultra heat as we're riding with about 15+ deep civics
watch out turning left, and please, please do not try to beat the red light at these sections - i've learned from experience.

since time is a factor i am not going to suggest taking lougheed hwy all the way -- just too many damntraffic lights that intersect busy streets. the one by gaglardi takes forever. willingdon-lougheed or boundary lougheed is also not advisable

most of you would agree, that a smooth, non-stop way would be better than stop and go traffic.

I'm with meeks on this one based on experience. Lougheed Hwy speed limit is like 70-80ish so it does get annoying.

Here is the updated list for the Richmond pre-meet. We will meet at 11:00 at Sexsmith Park and Ride, and head out to meet with Meeks at Marketplace at 11:30am. From there on, we will head out to Westwood Honda together.

there are cops on barnet hwy? I've only ever seen 1 cop car there ever. I usually take that route for a spirited run. I guess it's the time of day.
