Yea, I've seen many people do it without any spacers.
It's the Si wheels that have a very small clearance.

You can use them, but they stick out further. It bothered me so i bought new lugs from Summit racing.com

I got these
Gorilla Automotive 38433N - Gorilla Wheel Lock Systems - summitracing.com

They're shorter and they're locking.

The stock rsx tires will work if they still have tread left. You can get new tires if you want

theres a couple threads here or on the net, most people just sand there rims down after they get to scratched up and repaint them or powder coat them...

Aside from dropping all the money for powdercoating, is there a touch-up paint that nearly matches the Type S wheel?

yeah, theres touch up paint i'm pretty sure but for me the scratches don't bother me much plus its hard to scratch the 16inch Type S wheels...
