Real Volks????

I found a set of Volk Racing CE28N wheels for sale and i need to know how to know for sure if they are authentic Volks or just some knock offs. The seller lives out of state but i have a friend who lives near me that is willing to go check them out for me but i need to know what to tell him to look for to verify they are authentic Volks.

Here is the only pic i have.

Any info would help, thanks!

Dude the car they are on says its all but you can also check by looking at the outside edge the inner part of the rim usually they will say made in japan to begin with, if it says MADE IN CHINA then obviously they are...

does that back wheel have wheel weights on the outside lip? It looks like it has two separate clip weights on the bottom left of the wheel. Or am i just seeing things?

On the back of the wheel, it should have the imprints of the words "made in japan" and "rays eng". It should have that printed on the inside of the hub. Also, the lug nut holes should not be aligned with the valve stem. It should almost be lined up, but slightly off centered. I'm not sure if you know what I'm talking about. There's also a Rays sticker on the barrel, but sometimes if the wheel has been refinished, the sticker is gone. When your friend goes to check the wheels, have him/her take some pictures of it. Take pictures of the face, behind the wheel at the hub, and inside the barrel of the wheel. That way, we'll get a better look at them. Hope that helped!

I think you right. If they are weights I would lean the direction that there not Volks. I would hope for the cost of Volks that they would not have to be weighted on the face to get them to balance. Thats usually something you see in a poorly made wheel.
