Hi,

New to the forum, I've been lurking a while before signing up.:wavey:

My wife is picking up her 08 Si Sedan this week and this will be her
first very own purchase new car. I would like to do something nice
for her and get have some Volks. This will be my first experience with
TMS. I wish it didn't come with it or able to be disabled.

First:
TE37's is my choice..is 17X7.5 +48 offsett ok?
Tires: 225/45/17 ok with the rim setup above?

Second:
How much will new TMS cost? She would want to keep
two set for winter and summer. Would the TMS fit Volk's
valve stems?

Thanks,

Mike

yep it should be fine... here check this thread out.

and as far as the TPMS goes. the mugen wheels are designed for the honda so you should be able to switch your sensor from you si wheels into the mugens without any problems. but as far as resetting it many people have had many different experiences. i think your best bet is for your dealer to reset it for you. and finally and most unfortunatly there is no way to disconnect the tpms without the vsa issue and the light.

Much Thanks for your help and info, really answered many of my questions.
The more I looking into this the lighter my wallet becomes. Maybe I should
just get her some air fresheners...

After doing some more research and looking deeper into this TPMS.
It seems...visiting the dealer is the only option to reset, due to the
rims being 18inch and likely will throw off light if I take these out of the
stock 17inch. More woes...

Thanks again,

Mike

oh i just had a thought...... if the TPMS fit in the mugen rims (as they should) when you get them switched there will be no need to reset the sensors because there will be no time that the sensors detect a low air pressure reading cause they are only on when your driving.:vtec:
so therefore if you get them switched and pull out on the road again the sensors wont know what hit them.....

Well..of course it was expected..drove for about 30 miles..the tpms light turns on.
The tire indicator didn't, i though that would come on too. Only indicator is the TPMS.

Anyhoo...guess i would have to go to the dealer to reset. I'm praying that the TPMS
can reconize two sets of sensors.
