Can't Decide

I'm just trying to draw some opinions from the people here.

I really have my eye on those 17" HFP (06-07), but I also need new tires by the end of the year, but I can't afford to do both. I'm saving up for an HDTV, but am not sure if I should go ahead and buy those Yokohoma S.Drive tires for my stock wheels and risk the HFP wheels being discontinued. My stock Si tires could last another year but I also curb-kissed a few times with them. In one place there is a huge piece of side wall missing, and minor scratches. No, worries, this was all well over a year ago when I was getting used to the Civic's unusual seating position. I'm pretty sure I won't f*** up those HFPs.

Anyway, anyone think those HFP (not the current, silver style) are going out of production any time soon? Should I just buy the HFPs and use my old rubbers (even with slight damage)?

I'm sure it won't be hard to find HFP's even if they did discontinue them (which I can't imagine them doing).

I like the HFP's, but there's NO performance to be had there. I mean come on, they're 21 pounds for god's sake. If the weight doesn't matter to you at all, go for it. All that being said, I think Nomar's are tight as hell with his white on white scheme.
