does anyone have this problem with the back wheels?

I upgraded to 18inch rims and a 225/40 tires. After i put them on i noticed that the back wheels are bowed inwards. I took the car up to the place where i got an alignment done and they said it is normal and no way to fix it.

They did say tho that my tires will wear quicker on the inside tread.

Anyone else have this problem.

Get a camber kit. That bowing you're describing is negative camber. Are you lowered?

You can deffinitly use a camber kit without lowering the car but it's totally up to you, it won't do any damage if you choose not to get the kit but just like the mechanic said you'll wear the inside thread quicker on the rear tires. Just rotate your tires a little more often if you don't want to get a camber kit, that should prolong your tires.

Even a new stock Si will wear the inside treads of the rear 17" tires. I read somewhere in another post here, that Honda is correcting this on the non-Si models. Meaning less camber and less handling ability compared to the Si with its inner rear tire premature wear. Oh well!

Honda has a new rear upper control arm to correct this camber problem.

I have the same problem on my FBP Si w/ 225/40/18's on 18x7.5's w/42mm offset and stock suspension. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

For, SI's, the stock rear camber is "suppose" to be -0.5 or -0.45 I believe (From the owners manual. Not sure which one). When I had my first alignment, I was at -1.5. I guess its pretty normal that the SI has that much rear negative camber. And that -1.5 is still with in "factory spec". And yes, they can not adjust the camber with the stock arm. You need the rear camber arm to correct the camber. BTW, I have FA5. I don't know if its the same for FG2.

Since when is some camber a problem?

The Si is spec'ed for some rear camber and toe in. Going to a wider rear just makes it more visible.

I'm not sure how much adjustability (if any) is built in but, you could always get it re-aligned to 0. This will affect your handling though.

Stock Alignment 07 Sedan from the manual
Front
Toe-in 0
Camber 0
Caster 7°24’
Rear
Toe-in 0.08in(2.0mm)
Camber -1°30’

As far as I know the camber is STILL not adjustable. My right rear came out at -2.3 deg.

I figured as much, guess you'd need to throw down some bucks for an alignment kit. They seem to be extra expensive for this car.

Yeah. Just look around but on average its around $250 for both front and rear depending on the brand. I got my SPC on sale from one of the sponsors for $210 shipped for both so just keep an eye.
