wheel options

so im doing some researching since i just got my skunk2 coils, now i could use some new wheels. I want something that will look good with the stock suspension (EX) and then ill drop it.


so the real question is

17 or 18
5x100 or 5x114.3
and what offset

because i really dont want any troubles

i would go 17, but you can do 18 if you like.
5x114.3 is what you need.

im not sure what the stock offset is for the EX, but its a 16x6.5.
the width matters to the offset.

in 17, my options for the offset are 35 or 42


could someone define offset?

going from the stock 16"s on an EX to 18"s will likely throw off your speedo... just be aware of that

you would reduce the sidewall hight to compensate.

lowering the sidewall ratio from 55 to 45 would only throw off the speedo by 1.5%.

alternativley getting a slightly wide tire like a 215 width, and then a 40 sidewall ratio will only throw off the speedo by 0.5%. which is the tire size of the Mugen Si.

offset is the distance between the centerline of the wheel and where it actually mounts to the hub.

hes got an EX so the stock is 16x6.5. i dont know the offset of the EX though.
