Smile 17's or 18's for Stk Suspension

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if I can get a clean look on my 06 Civic FD by going with 17s with 45 series, or 18s with 40s without leaving a large gap between the tire and wheel well. Also if you can recommend a good tire width size for either a 17 or 18 inch rim like 205 or 215, so it doesn't rub.

Thanks in advance.

id go with 18s with a 40 sidewall if you were wanting to try and fill the wheel gap a little, also if your ganna stay with stock ride height you can run a 225 tire without rubbing no problem

edit:what wheels are you lookin at?

I am looking at the 17 HFP with 215-45-17. Or considering some Rota Boosts 17", but I am willing to change if it will look cleaner.

I did a quick photoshop with the rims on my car. Let me know which one you like better. I am still undecisive. But I have an opportunity to get a great deal on used HFP 17" today.

haha nice photoshop.....i dunno man i mean its a matter preference....i like 18s more than 17s....but if u want 17s and ur gettin a deal that u feel is worth it then go for it....i would still get the 225 tire with it but again thats just my preference

Edit: Id go with the last set of rims
