Subscribed.

I'm debating whether to powdercoat the stock rims or just get new ones altogether. I have a price quote of $300 to prep and powdercoat four Si rims.

I didn't think it was that bad actually. Sandblast all four rims. Powedercoat the entire rim, including the inner barrel, and bake. $75/rim

Mine were powdercoated for $470 from a friend that powdercoats racing wheels. He normally charges $150 per wheel, plus $50-70 if it's a custom powder.

Depending on the process the quality varies a bit. So sometimes you get what you pay for.
