chrome wheels?

i am a big fan of chrome wheels... when i get my civic i am planning on putting 18s chrome but it seems people have something against chrome these days! (dont get me wrong i am not making my decision on what ppl think) im just wondering if this is just me and what you guys think?

i am deciding if i should go 18s black (on black) or 18s chrome

I think chrome looks good on some vehicles, but in my opinion chrome doesn't look great on the civics.

I am def against chrome on almost everything. With that said however, it is your car so do what you like. And I think maybe black 18s with a polished lip would look good on your car. Maybe five spokes. Whatever you end up doing be sure to post pics whe its done.

why?.. I have chrome 18's on my Si and I get compliments all the time..Some said:"oh, don't put chrome rims on an import" ..And now actually those same guys have said : Hmmm? that actually looks pretty decent...Do what you like!...its your car!

Its a tuner car, chrome just doesn't go with it. Unless you want a ghettoe'd car basically iswhat look you will get.

it takes alot more than chrome rims to turn a civic into a ghetto car IMO.

I am a fan of chrome as well. I say go for it. Its your car, its your choice. I would like to see pics when/if you decide to go with it.

I think personally like the black wheels with the chrome lip. It brings a need element of contrast. The all black wheels are not to my liking.

So my friend do what YOU like, you don't needs anyone's approval but your own.

Dude, chrome is hot on some and not on others. It's your personal preference and every civic i've seen with chrome for the most part looked hot. Chrome isn't just for higher cars its for all types.

Everybody hates it...execpt me and mine. I think it looks good. There were PPl on vtec.net that scolded me for having chrome wheels on my SI. here's a shot of my NBP with 18" chrome. I don't really care what everyone else thinks but me. Besides...I get a ton of compliments from total strangers everyday.

Yes, they are heavy...I know they are not "racing" wheels, but like I said...I like the way they look and don't really care what others might say. Everyone has there own opinion on what they think looks good or bad. If I decide to race someone, I know I'm at a disadvantage with the chrome wheels on, However, I only race once in a while and its only for fun anyway.

Hey 06SIGuy, those are not my favourite chrome wheels and personally I think 17"s are the biggest that should be used on the 06 Civic, but dude the car looks great, can't beat a detailed black car with chrome wheels. What size tires do you have on there and so you have any trouble with rubbiing?
