225/40/18's or 215/40/18's with sportlines?!

im about ready to install my sportlines but i have to take off these BFG 225/45/18 moster truck tires that are currently on there?!? i dont want to scrub... what size would you guys recommend? ryry, jeshua and all the other wheel guru's your input is highly valued and welcomed

you shud rub with 225.

I'm on 18x7.5 with an aggressive offset on 225/40 no issues.

Depends on the offset. Some people have posted their specs as well.

Diameter isn't everything if you have 215s on low offset wheels and a low drop it's still going to rub.

I realize this... but he has Sportlines which I also have and I am running 17x8 with 225/45R17 that have a 45mm offset and 5mm spacer so 40mm offset and no rubbing. I don't believe that the g-games are a really aggressive an offset.

You would probably want to start worrying about rubbing below 38mm.

And you just said yourself: I'm on 18x7.5 with an aggressive offset on 225/40 no issues.


Was just trying to put it in perspective of the various heights of the tires for him. But yes offset does obviously play a factor as stated in previous posts.
