would probably depend on the offset. mine are +42 with a 7" tire on a 7.5" rim and have no problems with a 17

i saw this in the first post

17x7.5 38mm offset 225/40-17 (1.5" drop)

but they are using a thinner tire compared to a 45. would it rub with a 45 on the 1.5 inch drop?

im thinking if you get a 17" rim and a 18" tire its not gonna work.

Can someone help me out. Ima be getting 48mm offset for my Si coupe for one 5zigen fno1r-c Hyper black wheel. Why??? because they are discontinued and have none left in the entire freakin US. the sizes are 17X7 with a 42mm offset which is less than the original offset of 45mm for stock fitment correct? and I will be putting on one 17X7 5zigen wheel with a 48mm offset due to the only route i can take. help with any issues i may have. would i be able to get a spacer and move it to 42mm? i shouldnt have any issues right???? HELP....

Yes you can put a 5mm spacer on to make it 43mm. I don't know of any places that make a 6mm spacer.

Yeah cus 6mm isnt even half an inch. and the caliper clearance in the rear would clear it for sure. cosmetically he said he wouldnt be able to tell either.

Would I be sacrificing performance or doing anything detrimental to the car with only one wheel(probably one of the rears) at 48mm offset and the rest at 42mm?
