It does depend on your tire choice. But if you stick with an offset close to stock 45mm +/- 3mm , you shouldn't have any problems.

I thinking about getting some Tsx wheels which are 17x7 55mm offset or some tl 5 stars which are 17x8 45mm offset. Id also like to lower the car about 1.5 inches. what do you think of these? will they work?
thanks

That offset is fine, but it says that they're for subarus, and I think some subarus are 5x100 bolt pattern.

yeah, some of the rota's are 5x100, but for the 05+, the suby's come with 5x114.3 but they only have 18x8 +48 (5x114.3), so if i get that and mount 225/40/18 tires, my car is not lowered yet but might do it later. I should be good though?

I know 18 x 8.5 rims will fit with a 225/40/18 setup and a Eibach Sportline Drop (1.4") without any rubbing because of this thread:

Rays/Gram Lights 57F installed

However, I'm concerned that a 225 tire will not be wide enough to protect the lip of my wheels. (Look at the pictures, the rim is out farther than the tire). So this leads me to my question:

So far, I have no suspension modifications at all. This means 18 x 8.5 with a 235/40/18 tire should work fine correct? Now the trickier question is, do you think this setup would allow for the same Eibach Sportline drop? If not, then do you think a HFP, Eibach Pro or Tein H-Tech (all approx 1") would work?

Thanks guys

Ive been having mixed info thrown at me. Im trying to find out if a 17x8 +55 offset will fit on Si Sedan.

Comptech USA has 18x8 w/ a +55 offset and says that they will fit the new Si. So technicaly, if Comptech is correct. A 17x8 +55 offset wheel should work.
http://www.comptechusa.com/store/760040.html

This should be 18x8 +55 as i found it on the Comptech website.

If anyone has any info. please help with this.
