What is the Stock offset for a 2006 EX? (the 5 spoke silver wheels)
is it +45?
also, the wheels are 16x7 correct?

Im thinking of getting a set of wheels that are 17x8 +35 or +45. I saw on the list that they fit. I am hoping to run 225/45/17 but I also want to drop on Progress springs. Which offset would be best to use for the set up I want. thanks in advanced

+35 would definitely look better but with a 225 you might have an occasional rub depending on your camber settings (ie. how much negative camber you are running).

If you want to play it safe run the +45, if you are willing to run a little more negative camber than stock, and buy front and possibly rear camber kits if you don't already have them then I would run a +35. What would really determine if you would rub with the Progress springs is, one how much negative camber you would gain just from the drop, and two what make and model of tire you would buy (some 225's are wider than others).

I am not sure if 16's clear the Si calipers, but even if they do I think they look too small on our cars. BBS RS's are sick wheels, but even a 17" set would look funny IMO, they flow better with older cars. BBS's FTW though

2007 Si Sedan
17X7.5 Wheel - 40 offset

I am on stock suspension right now. I would like to upgrade to the HFP suspension in the near future.

Which tire size should I go with?

225/45/17

or

235/40/17

???

Alright, cool thanks. I was planning to run the Kumho Ecsta SPT or something close to the price range and tire.

On stock suspension you could get away with a 235, but I would probably run a 225 either way. A 235 on a 7.5" wheel wouldn't look good IMO.

No problem. I don't know how well that tire performs but a 215 on an 8 will look fine (check out Smoots car).

Depends on if you are lowered or on stock suspension. Normally i would say a 215/45/17 or a 225/45/17.

Sounds good man, I'm waiting for my wheels to show up Monday. I will be running a 215/45/17 Goodyear Eagle f1's on my 17 x 8's.

And yeah its too bad your new setup won't be 17 x 8 all around.

Could someone please confirm, verify, and guarantee if the spec below..

Wheel: 17x17 35 offset
Tire: 215/45-17

..would work for an EX coupe with HFP suspension?

TIA!

That would definitely work, and if you want to verify it for yourself just take a ruler and measure 10mm out front the outer edge of your stock wheels. You should have more than enough clearance considering you want to run a 215, on a 7" wheel, and with HFP suspension.

just wondering

i have a stock ride, i want to get 225/40/18, with an 18 x 8 rim. The rim comes with 45 mm offset or 37mm offset,

which one would rub less and which one would look better??????

thanks

The overall diameter of the wheel is going to be too small compared to stock. Your speedo will read 62 (61.7) if your going 60. Plus less protection for your wheels. I would suggest 215/40/18 or 225/40/18.

I'm shopping around for some track rims right now and found a set or Rota Slipstreams with the following dimensions:
16 x 8.0 +48 5h x 114.3

The offset is what worries me the most. For my winter tires I had a set of prelude blades that had an offset of 50 but they were 7" wide so I'm not sure if the extra inch will rub against the shock body. Does anyone run with 16x8's on their Si?

i plan on running 18x8 +35 on 225/40/18.
Will these rub on a Si coupe at stock height?
Will it rub with the HFP suspension?

To the person with the 17x8+35 - were you lowered at all? If so how much of a drop? I plan on going the HFP route with a 235-40 tire. Thanks.
