how much do 18 wheels affect in performance vs 17s? And what if the 18s are lighter than the stock si wheels?

Hah, I took that picture. Its my boy Danny's DC5 and yeah he is trying to sell the wheels. I can vouch that they are in great shape.

IMO, no way you'll clear those wheels without rubbing, without crazy camber, and stretched tire. And even then a 8.5 +30 might poke past the fenders, but probably not.

I wouldn't say if they fit on the DC5 they will fit on a FA. From what I have seen personally the DC5 seems to be able to handle wider and lower offset wheels, but who knows people haven't really gone with crazy wheels on our cars as of yet.

And a big part of fitting wider lower offset wheels (without ribbing that is) is choosing the proper tire size.

From my research you'd probably want to go with one of the 43, 45, or 47mm offsets with an 8.5, that is if you do want to put more rubber on the ground with a 225, or 235.

Would an OEM G35 coupe rims 18x8 fit my civic Sedan? The bolt pattern is the same but not sure about the offset. Do you guys recommend me getting an OEM G35c used or buying a new aftermarket such as enkei with tires online? The price is about the same because I have to change the tires on the G35c anyway.

As far as offset. here is a pretty helpful site.

1010 Tires Wheel offset calculator

brief description of the basics that should allow you grasp what offset is, and then click on the calculator link if you want to compare your stock width and offset to another one.
