I used this configuration, and I'm getting a bit of rubbing on the front tires with the plastic clip inside the upper side of the fender.

Also - my car is not lowered.

no one knows?
can i assume that since a 17x7 with a 40et will work with proper tires that the 18x7 would then also work?
not one single 8th gen owner who has posted in this thread has posted an 18x7 rim so i'm looking for confirmation before i pull the trigger on this deal.
any input is much appreciated
jay

Probably. That's the size of the HFP wheels.

I don't know that anyone's run tires that wide or an offset that low. It seems doubtful without some modification.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you ok as long as the inner clearance (aka backspace) remains the same?

So a 8" width w/ 32mm offset would fit, as it has the same clearance (146mm) as a 7" width w/ a 45mm offset.

Wondering because if I get different rims I'd want a deeper rim look (aka BMW M3).

http://www.yqwheel.com/products.htm

i'm looking into getting some wheels from this site (long story, but they're free for me)

2nd page
3rd ones down,
18x7.5" 42mm et,

PCD 100-120 - i fully appreciate that we're 114.3 - so whats up with these wheels - is it that one set of 5 holes fit 100, the other 5 fit 120 - meaning htat they won't work for my car?

thanks in advnace

You're right. Those are made for other cars. Won't fit.
