The OEM lugs have a "ball" seat to the meaning they are round. The aftermarket ones you will need for aftermarket wheels is the "acorn" seat which are tapered. Basically use OEM lugs on OEM Honda wheels & use aftermarket lugs on aftermarket wheels. If you want I can take a pic of the two of them next to each other so you can see the difference.

acorn nuts are basically round on the top and kinda flare out at the bottem with like a flange but its all one peice (these were stock on civic dx-g)

spline nuts are skinner nuts with lots of teeth in them so a reg. socket can take em off. usally better for aftermarket since there smallers and usally have less chance of rubbing or damaging the wheel. also they come with a generic wheel lock to fit the nuts.

lots of companys makes diffrent styles even mugen makes a set i belive. when i put on my 18's i used all my stock nuts and just bought a set of lock nuts.

If you plan on running extended studs then you will for sure want the extended lugs but the short ones will work fine. I like the way the extended lugs look on my wheels but I'm thinking of getting the the short lugs maybe.

haha i know people dont think its the best idea but as long as they dont rub on the inside of the wheels they work alrite.. of course i would have rather gotten aftermarket and of a diffrent color.

Dude if you can afford rims & tires you can spend the extra $40 on a set of Kyokugen lugs at least. Whatever it's your car.

Here you go. The one on the left is my Project Kics R40's & the one on the right is obviously the OEM lug. See how the Project Kics lug seat area is alot more tapered then the OEM lug which is more rounded. That is why you shouldn't use OEM lugs on aftermarket wheels & vise versa.
