How Are These Tires?

I don't know a whole lot about wheels and tires. I'm still learning. I was cruising around Tire Rack looking for a set of new tires for my Si. I want better traction than these stock all season tires. I don't go to the track or anything, but I want some really good traction. Anywayz, what brands do you all recommend? Below are a couple of tires i was looking at. How are they? Is one better than the other? Would you recommend something else? Thx for the help...

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Dunlop SP Sport Maxx

btw, these will be going on the stock 17" rims. Call me crazy, but I actually like the look of the stock rims. In fact, I wish I could get the same rims but in 18in. :) So, lemme hear what yall have to say, and thx for the help.

okay, i know im responding to my own post but i found a link to a review on a bunch of different tires. Does it seem credible to everyone?

Car and Driver

If so, I may get the Goodyear F1 tires. They seem pretty good.

Check out www.tirerack.com. There is a section with peoples feedback on tires. I've read it numerous times to see what people are saying about certain tires I was interested in getting. Check it out!

1200+ reviews for the F1 tires there. I'd say they are a great pic.

Just bought a set last week. they seem to sit the car well on the road, but they hum a little as do most performance tires.

Hmm, reading through the reviews, it seems like alot of the people reviewing the dunlops actually came from the Goodyear F1's and seem to prefer the dunlops for a number of reasons including better tread wear, and less road noise. Although it seems to be mixed opinions on comparing their traction. Some say the dunlops are just as good, some say almost. Err, i can't decide!!!

Try the bfgoodridge gforce kdw2... I have them on the tc and if I didn't find the pilot pe2 to be such a good tire, then I would've bought these for the si also.. And this tire has performance and looks.. plus the price is not bad at all..
