I'm looking to get Winters for my 08 Si, and I'm getting conflicting answers on this. Can I really use 205/55 16? Some people are telling me I can use the 16s, others say a 16" will not fit over the calipers and I need to use 17s.

And do I need to use Alloy wheels in this size, or will Steel also work.

Guys, I need your help. I'm about buying a used G35 Coupe stock rims. I believe they are 18x8 with 225/40/18. Does it fit my civic sedan? I'm just afraid that the rims would be too wide but not really sure myself. I have no idea how to use tire calculator that is posted on the first page of the thread. Please give me some advice on my rims change.

Thanks

215? Isn't too slim? I think my stock rims is 225/55/16. I like wide tires better. Btw, for those who have 18" rims, how the ride feels like? Is it rough? Can you guys speed as before?

Sizes not recommended as of other owners experiences..

225 50 16 - (Too wide, especially if car is lowered. Will hit fender when hitting a bump)

Hi i have a question about the tire size for my civic.... I have 17" stock rim with s-tech lowering springs and skunk2 rear camber kit. I'm planning on getting 18" or 19" rims, but can't really decide which one looks better...I also plan on getting spacers so that the wheels come out a little bit, but not too much...what is your opinion on the wheel, tire, & spacer size???? Thank you....

If you have a tire size that does not work, please let me know so I can add the size. If you have a different size that does work, please also let me know so I can update the list.

Will a 225 tire fit on the stock rims? i.e. 225/45/17

btw, someone should clean up this thread and update the first post. That way you don't have to read through 20 pages of posts.

btw, I drive an Si wit the 17 inch rims. I think they are 17x7 with a 43mm offset?

.:EDIT:. What about 225/40/18 on the HFP rims? I think they are 18x7.

I decided to stick with stock rim size in favor of a better ride and less chance of rim damage. 16x7 Konig Quiz (40 mm offset) wrapped in Kumho Ecsta AST 225/50/16. Ride is smoother than stock and the rims look good (at least as far as 16's are concerned). No problems with rubbing due to tire width/offset. Even have room to drop it an inch or so.

As long as the rim is a 16x7, 17x7, or 18x7 you should be able to use a 225 width. I did anyway. 225/40/18 will work on the 18x7s and a 225/45/17 will work on what you're driving with now. I'm pretty confident on this but am by no means a tire expert, someone correct me if necessary.

If the rotors and calipers on the Si are the same size as those in the EX/LX models, you can use 16's. I'm running 16 inch alloys (40 mm offset) in a 225/50/16 and no problem with rubbing whatsoever.

Has anyone tried a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R sized 225/45/17 on a stock SI rim?

Are they specifically Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R tires?

I am thinking of getting 18x8.5 KMC Jacks&Five wheels and I was wondering if they would fit? What kind of tire size am I looking at with those? Car is stock '06 coupe LX.

What kind of offset / bolt pattern? I know it's 5-lug, but what's the mm?

Get the ones that are 5-114.3. Those will fit perfectly. For offset, anywhere between 40-45 is ideal, but you can get away with higher/lower with spacers.

By the way, IMHO, those Jacks&Five wheels just wouldn't look right on a Civic. Maybe on a Mustang or a truck, but not a Civic. I realize its just my opinion and you've got the right to go with whatever you like...but if it were me, I'd choose different wheels.

Well the problem is that I need to choose wheels from KMC. I have a friend that works as a distributor and he is gonna give me a deal.

I want some 17 or 18 black rims with a chrome lip. Originally I had my eyes on the Redlines from KMC, but they've been discontinued.

Any suggestions?

Any recommendations for tires for 18x8 +46. How about 225/35/18?
