ok, found some rims I like and say they'll fit an RSX but I doubt it'll fit the SI. They're 19x8.5 45mm. If they were 18x8, I'd buy them without thinking twice... I just have a feeling they'd be TO big on the ol' SI.

same ? but with 235/40/18? i kno that 225/40/18 will fit with no rub, pending on few tires, but what about 235's with 18x8 wheels an 35mm offset? i believe that my combo would work but still unsure. anyone?

More tire talk

Guys, I'm new to Hondas and to your forum. I'm an autocrosser moving from a C Stock Miata to a G Stock, '06 Civic Si. I tried serching the forum to keep from bringing up a subject already discussed and either didn't find anything or can't use the search engine. Several of the national Si autocross competitors are using 245x45, 17's (Kumho 710's and stock wheel sizes and offset). Anyone tested a street setup with the above metrics? I would like to run a Kumho MX in the 245x17 on the street and for a few autocrosses. Ideas appreciated.
Jim

Just got 17" Lenso Drivex rims. Still deciding whether to get 215/45s or 225/45s. Which size do you think is better?

I'm planning on buying a set of 16x7 or 16x7.5 rims for HPDE (track) days. I'm trying to lower unsprung wieght on my Si by going to lightweight (and smaller diameter) wheels and race tires. Tire size will probably be 225/50-16. R-compounds, probably Nitto NT01s. Now I need to find wheels. Right now, I'm leaning towards Team Dynamics Pro Race 2.0 wheels but if I can get Kosei K1s or Rota RBs in the correct offset, I'll consider them, too. I'll let you guys know how this goes.

Maybe its asking too much but..
could the op get all the values and put on the front page? Really makes it difficult to have to go through 8 pages all the time.. sorry for the laziness.

It depends on the offset and tire used, as different manufacturers tires vary in, actual physical dimensions vs tire size.

I'm planning to do the exact same thing. I'm getting into autocrossing and I want lighter wheels and wider tires for more "stick". I'm currently leaning toward the kosei k1 racing. I'm debating on getting either 16x7.5 +43 offset and 225/50/16.... OR 17x7.5 +45 offset and 225/40/17. I will go with the Tein SS coilovers. Do you think I'll rub in either set up? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks for the help guys!

BTW I have a 07 SI

215/45 or 225/45. Why did you go with the shorter sidewall?
