Need suggestion on new tires.....

So the time has come to get new tires, after 20,100 miles on the stock summer tires. What would most people reccomend? I have 17x7 motegi traklites on right now, that I will be selling with the original tires still on them....and I will be going back to my stock rims. I guess most people go with 225 size for 17x7s? What is a good brand/tire?

whats your budget?
I've had good experiences with Kumho Ecsta SPT.. good tread life, low road noise, great wet and dry grip - I've yet to hydroplane or slip around in hard rain.

on another note.. bad experience with the Yokohama Parada spec's.. loud, expensive, wet and dry grip is sufficient, but not superior. For the price you pay, its really just for the name.

My first summer tire were the Kumho's, went to Yoko's and back to Kumho's because I found that for the value, they do a great job. It's almost like paying for versace at half price... IMO of course. lol
nitto neo-gens, falken and bfgoodrich G-force T/As are others to look into.

^^yeah budget is the key..

Also, you need to figure out if you need all-seasons or summer tires..

Once you figure that out, you need to go to www.tirerack.com and choose

I want summer tires, theres not too much rain where I live(except for today).
I was hoping to pick some up for under $150 each. I hope to get around $800 for the rims, since I paid quite a bit more than that for them....flat black motegi traklites, 14 lbs. each.

if your looking for tires under 150, the kumho ecsta SPT's are great. Rain or no rain, these tires aren't an issue.

I'm not sure how the prices are in the states but I got my SPT's for 147/each CDN
like lonelydriver suggested, take a look at tirerack.com for prices
