Wheel fitment??

just picked up some used 17x8 rims with a 42 offset. tires for the rears are 255/40 they look huge will they fit? fronts are 225 40. these came off a rear wheel drive car.

Your speedometer will not read the proper speeds with 40 Series tires on 17" rims and I'm sure the 255 tires are to wide.

225 tires aren't too wide. I'm running them now. I'm not lowered, so I don't have any rubbing issues. Pretty sure my offset is in withing paper distance of yours too, also running a 17x8. I suggest looking at Potenza's. Maybe the RE050-Pole Positions.
