Si comes with optional 18's. Then again, the Si has larger wheel bearings than the non-Si models. It'll slightly, and I do mean, slightly, affect mileage, ride comfort and speedo accuracy, but other than that, nope. Are the wheels you want lightweight wheels? A lower weight helps reduce rotational mass, which affects performance.

Most of the time you go up in size on a wheel you are going to lose a bit of performance but is it noticable, no not really.

That gain in top speed also increases braking distance.

the car is designed to get along with 17 or 18 so the difference is minimal also you can have 18" with 35 tires and you will have smaller wheels than stock

I'm looking into getting 18's for when I get my Si. The wheels I'm looking at are lighter than the stock 17's for the Si so the weight won't be a problem. My concern is the difference in size for every reason other than weight.
