Anyone know wheel weights?

I could have sworn I've seen this posted around here before but I can't find it anywhere, and I tried the search. I want to know how much the Si wheels weigh and how much the 18" HFP wheels weigh. I'm seriously considering getting new wheels when I get my Si and I'm leaning towards 18's. However I keep hearing that it'll hurt performance since the wheels will be heavier unless I spring for really expensive light weight wheels and it'll also be a harsher ride. I'm realling liking the Konig Sideways but if it'll kill ride quality and performance, I can live without them.

/\ Thanks. OK, that tells me the stock Si wheels weigh 21.5 lbs and the 17 inch HFP wheels weigh 20 lbs. Anyone know about the 18 inch HFP wheels?

18s won't be too harsh unless you are used to driving a caddy! lol

I'm kind of torn right now on what I want to do. My Si will be my first car I've ever had where I'll make an effort to get the best performance I can. I've also never modified a car before except for the stereo, not even wheels. If I get 18's over 17's it'll just be for looks, but I don't want to sacrifice too much performance or ride quality. If I get 17" HFP's or the 17" Konigs I've been looking at, they'll weigh a bit less than the stock Si wheels, 20 lbs vs 21.5 lbs. The 18" HFP's will weigh about 1.5 lbs more per wheel it would seem at 23 lbs. For the Konigs I'm looking at, 18x7.5's would weigh 23 lbs and 18x8's would weigh 24 lbs. I'm just not sure what the best compromise would be between performance, comfort, and style.

i wouldn't let 1.5 lbs affect your decision if you really like the wheels. just make sure you makes somemore power to make up for it!

At first I was set on getting Konig Unkowns. But I've been seeing them everywhere and now I'm really liking the Konig Sideways. I'm waiting to hear back on the exact weights but if my guesses are right, 17's will weight less than the stock Si rims but the 18's would weigh a couple pounds more. I'm just not sure if the difference in weight and ride quality I've been hearing about is worth an extra inch of diameter. Too bad I can't get both sets of wheels and give them all a try and return the ones I don't like.

The wheels to get for light weight at a reasonable cost are Kosei T1s or Enkei RPF1. They weigh about 15lbs. I have a set of Enkei RPF1 17x8x38mm. They fit fine. Mint condition. PM me if interested with an offer. I need to get rid of these wheels.
