Size or Quality??

Hey guys. I'm on a budget and want some rims. I have a few questions

Would you rather get a less known brand like Kobe in 18's or a brand such as Tenzo in 17's for around the same price??

the 18's are 225/40/18
the 17's are 205/40/17

Would you go the quality rim or the larger rim with wider tire?

thanks!!!

17's. Less weight + structurally it should be stronger than an 18" would.

I believe in quality vs. quantity. Go for the quality!

if you're saying Tenzo is the quality, then you might as well go size.

ok so far quality seems to be winning...

Is Tenzo a pretty good brand? Its in my price range and there are two styles I like: DC5 & DC6.

The tires are 205 width which is what I have now on my stock LX. Is that dumb to get the same width?

Thanks!

I'm assuming you're trying to stay at or under 200 per wheel. There's really not much choice for you at that price point, unless you buy some used ones. My buddy never had a problem with his Tenzo's, and my other friend with hers.

I would definitely go with wider, maybe a 225 or even just a 215.

Yeah Izzy I'm trying to stay around $1000 or less. I actually ordered some 18's Azul Razrs from wheelsnext.com but they called me today to say they dont have them in stock. I spent the whole night trying to find something else I like. At first I was thinking Kobe Race 10 but not sure of the brand so I was thinking of going smaller for a better brand. I dont expect the best quality for my price range but want something descent. Basically I'm torn between these rims:

Kobe race 10 -18's
HP Racing HPR-5 - 18's
Tenzo Dc5 - 17's
Tenxo DC6 - 17's
Enkei RSV - 17's

I think the consensus will be to get the RSVs here.

Thanks for your help guys! I ended up with both size and quality! The sales guy gave me a decent deal on Enkei RSV with Federal 595 tires 225/40/18.
