Maximum Spacer size.

Hey guys, I've tried searching for the max spacer size that 8th gens can safely support. Mostly, I found that non-si's need 3mm spacers for Si wheels to clear the calipers, but anyways...

I'm looking for how big I can go with spacers without it being dangerous. At the moment, I have the Kspeed GP wheels from Battle Endless which is 17x7. I'm going to get the front lip soon, but I want the wheels to be flush with it...

Is a 12mm spacer too much for a DX-G sedan?

I had 5mm spacers on my sedan. I'd recommend 3mm. 12mm spacers is suicide. Your lugs will have nothing to grip to. Unless you're going 25 mph in a straight line all the time, I wouldn't try it.

what is the offset of those wheels you are getting?
Anything over 10mm and I would use bolt on spacers (hubcentric). Anything over 5mm and I would be installing longer studs (50mm-60mm).

My rims right now are 43 offset...

Hmm, is installing longer studs a hassle/expensive?

+43 is fine, you don't have to worry about it! Post some pictures when you get them installed!

So, you're saying I can run 12mm spacers on my 43 offset wheels?

I mean you don't have to put any spacers for that offset (+43), it fits fine.

Oh I see...

Well, I already have the wheels on my car, it's just that I want them to be more flush with the body of the car...

Also since I'll be installing my front lip soon.. The lip sits a bit further out (to the side) so my wheels will look sunken in to my wheel wells... =/

Ok, then I would say no more than +5mm spacers then, just remember one thing: safety > look.

It'd be safer to just buy wheels with the offset that you want than to run spacers.
