I wouldn't say they are better. For the money, I would buy some aftermarket wheels that are lighter and better looking.

aftermarket rims don't nessacaraly look better than oem or hfp wheels. you know the quality of aftermarket does not even come close to oem. Looks is in the eye of the beholder. for me oem matches the car perfect. there is a rim that looks similar to hfps but better looking IMO.
here it is.

They look better. 17's are lighter. 18's are not. That is all.

I have the HFP 17s on my Si...and the dealer gave me a bunch of crap about the 17s not being able on the coupe but they really are but they are lighter and I think they look better on the Rallye Red than stocks.

I like the way they look on sedans. There the only wheels i realy like on the sedans for that matter. I have been looking for a while now and cant find anything i would put on my car other than the 18" HFP

I think the HFP's look great, I'm a big fan of OEM parts, and maybe I'm the only one but I think about 95% of pictures people on here put up of their Si coupes with aftermarket wheels look absolutely terrible, maybe its just the stubby, ugly shape of the car or something, I don't know. To me the sedan is a much better platform for aftermarket rims, but I haven't seen any yet that I think look better than the 18" HFPs.

HFP 17" are about 20 lbs, stock are 23.5-ish lbs. So in 17" HFP are a good deal lighter. You hurt performance by going to 18"
