Hmmm.. mods might wanna move this to the detailing forum. I am sure RaskyR1 and some of the other pros could help you out. My only suggestion would be to try a chrome/metal polish like Eagle One Never-Dull
you can pick it up at most retail stores. But you need to know for sure that that is actual metal, and not a thin plating of metal before attempting the polish, and do not get it on the painted part!

I had a similar problem from salt on my old rims/car and polish worked wonders. I wish I could remember the name of the polish but it has been to long. Try it you may be surprised what a good polish can do.

First off

This is a perfect example WHY you don't use aftermarket wheels in snow/salt.

ANYWAY.. if they aren't ebay wheels.. take them to a machine shop and have the lips redone.
If they are QUALITY wheels and you have some $ to spend and get these fixed. Let me know and i'll put you in contact with one of the best shops in the country.

I had the same problem on some wheels about 10 years ago. Looks like the clear coat was compromised, and now you have salty water sitting under the clear. It will get worse and worse and will start to rust.
If you want to save these wheels you will need to have the clear removed and re-sprayed. Depending on the damage, you may have to have the entire wheel re-painted/clear coated. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Get yourself some cheap winter wheels...

Steelies in the winter FTW.

Or...be like the rest of us cool folk...move south. South California or South Florida. I don't worry 'bout no stinking snow and road salt.
