What to use to refresh a matted finish?

So I finally landed a used set of bronze TE37s. I spend a couple of hours cleaning brake dust buildups and now the wheels have a slight white haze on them...kinda like dry skin in need of lotion. I remember seeing someone(TypeX?) using peanut butter to "rehydrate" the finish but it doesn't seem like a long term solution. What can I use to refresh the matted finish that will last a long time? Use wax on a matted finish? Zaino? 303 aerospace prot? Suggestions?

try using some of that turtle wax ice. that stuff doesn't leave any residue at all. i use the detailer on my whole car and it makes all of the matte black pieces look brand new.

Start with a degreaser, then wash them. That should get them good :]. As for a clear coat..
