I'm sure its well known that rotational weight affects performance, but there are still plenty of people that are equipped with 18-20" cast (non-lightweight) wheels.
What i want to ask is if you can really feel a huge difference in performance between 16's , 17's and 18's, forged and casted. I know heavier is slower, but can you feel it with your butt dyno? Obviously the Si guys will be less affected than those with the R18's, so i'm curious if the R18 guys feel slowed down with 18's. Anyways the reason i'm asking is because i'm shopping for new rims, and I'm justifying whether premium forged wheels are worth the price tag over more affordable cast wheels, for a daily driver. Not to mention the road are seriously bad here (worse than NYC or others), I don't want to have a heart attack everytime I go over a pothole. |
