Last week i put on evo 8 with aftermarket lugz(muteki) so i go up the canyon like a roadrunner and we get to the top and as we go down im chasing a 300zx i was on his booty the whole time he almost crashed so i let off because i felt bad so were almost down the canyon and i hear a thump and a thump im like naa i got a flat? i checked and nothing and im like wth? what happened so mt friend goes maybe an axle.. i was ****ting
so as im jacking up the car im about to loosen up the lugz there all loose! holy crap i could of died aha so i tighten them lesson learned never run aftermarket lugs on Oem wheels Never no matter how neochrome the look or how shiny not worth what happaned

Ummmm... yeah no $hit Sherlock. You thought people tell you not to run aftermarket lugs on OEM wheels for $hits n giggles?
This is especially true with Mitsubishi wheels, since their lugs are basically nuts (have a flat seating surface). Just be thankful a wheel didn't come off and fack up your fender or even worse, a wheel came off and cause an accident where you died. |

Indeed, gotta run mag style lugs on those evo8 rims.. I have those same rims.. going to get them powder coated soon so their in garage, anyways I believe u need wheel spaces to with those.. cause the hub centric deal...

You don't need wheel spacers. The wheels are already a +38 offset, so a pretty aggressive offset if you are sporting a drop and are a function over form person. All you need is a 67.1mm outer/64.1mm inner hub-centric ring so that they fit on our hubs.

the hub centric ring is only so that the wheels dont shake after 70 miles per hour give or take. reason why the lugs got loose is because your not running evo lug nuts.... evo rims are flat and not acorn. so u need flat surface lugs... |
