I just paid $349 out the door for a set of Nexen n5000's. It was a local shop and the y threw in a free rotation and balance next time I need it. The tires are grippy, and pretty quiet (for their size) and they look good.

I'm avoiding the no-name brands like sunny and nexen since I'm afraid they might blow up.

Yes, I'm not listing the cheapest. I'm listing good tires at a low price. My first car was a 1st gen integra that came with 2 new uniroyal tigerpaws and both the tires blew up on me (at different times) going only 30-40 mphs so I don't buy the cheapest. But there are well built tires that don't cost a fortune.

I just went on the site and they show $74.13/tire and for my area its $56.44 for shipping...........will the tax be different for different locations? If its 8.125% then mine would be a grand total of $381 and some change.........thats a damn good deal compared to other major carriers!!!

discount tire direct (tires.com) has an ebay store (aside from their actual website) they always offer free shipping and slightly better prices... (+ you can take advantage of the 8% cash back through bing.com)

How does the Hankook Ventus HRII H405 compare to the Nitto Tires NTNEO NEO GEN?

I just checked the Discount Tires 2Go website.

Nitto Tires NTNEO NEO GEN in size 215/45ZR17 at Discount Tires 2Go is $68.20 each:

If you are in CA. then there is tax and it will be around $74 ea. Discount Tires 2Go is located in Fullerton CA.
