Hello all,

I'm from Canada, with an 09 Si Coupe, and I was wondering if there was a way to enable the TPMS on it? Is it just a matter of buying and attaching the sensors? or do I not have the firmware or the component on the car for it.

TIA!

::face palm::

TPMS was implemented on 2008 Civics.

I'm sure that has been mentioned numerous times in this thread already.

VSA = Vehicle Stability Assistance.

Youd be better off searching than having me try to explain here as how VSA functions doesnt really have anything to do with this thread

suhkim1 did you happen to try that tool out yet. I think you will be a god among men if that tool works and you can verify it lol

even better if you create a DIY for those of us that like pictures

149 is a little steep but i guess not compared to what the dealer would charge you.

why can't the dealship just totally disable the whole system by removing the sensors and the tpms control box (or wat ever it is). and just put in regular valve stems

Low Tire Pressure - This light is supposed ot look like a tire with a '!' over it but looks more like a horseshoe.
This indicator means one of your tires (or all) are below the allowable threshold. This light can be a faulty
sensor, but is most likely a low tire, be it from a slow leak, time, or temperature change. Fill your tires up to
the recommended 32psi (or more), and drive for 5 minutes, the light should shut itself off. If it does not,
take car to dealer, it's a faulty sensor.

So, do i just pump up my tires? how do i know if it's 32psi or not?

You should use a tire pressure gauge. Most air pumps have one built in, but getting your own at autozone for $5-10 is certainly worth the investment.

How long will it be before someone comes up with a pressurized box that you leave in the trunk and throw the sensors in it and never have to deal with them again?

solution: just paint the TPMS lights on the dash flat black.
