My New Wheels - Now with IRL goodness.

The photochops are in the other thread, heres the real pics, click for a bigger version.

IMO, its not great, but they're light, and I paid less than $90 each wheel, shipped. Not going to be my daily drivers (sticking with my stock wheels) but rather for AutoX use. The tires are Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212.

Those actually look better than I thought they were going to. Not too bad at all, imo.

I think CMByrd is racing G-Stock so he has limitation on lowering hardware.

+1 on both of those.

Though I do agree it 'needs' the drop pretty badly with those on, compaired to my stock wheels d=

Anyone know a good way to store tires so they don't dry rot?

coat tires in vaseline and but them in like four layers of trashbags in climate controlled room..your living room is a good bet...lol...just kidding...as long as you keep them at a stable temp your fine...the pics look like the car was lifted with a jack to install but wasn't ever driven to lower it down..and if you think its too high doesnt hfp count as stock?

Si 4 Life: Discount Tire

jc21: me too, and they actualy almost look 'good' in the evening (we had a nice sunset last night, sky matched the car, and reflected the red onto the ground and wheels) and are beautiful in motion (= (not nessicarly on the car, but the wheels themselfs)

That_Si_Guy: I dunno, but what Supersly_Jones said may be the reason, the pics were taken right after I finished putting them on, hadn't moved the car at that point, so it may not have settled down yet.

supersly_jones: Im not 100% sure on HFP, but I do not belive it legal for stock classes under SCCA rules. Rule 13.5 A 2 seems to imply that though shocks can be changed, they may not change the ride height.

No, the ruling as it stands is HPF is not 'stock'. This appies to the suspension (which is not installed as a stock option), nor, perhaps surprisingly, are the HPF wheels allowed. (At least as of my last rules update newsletter)
