Question Will these rims fit '06 Coupe?

Just found out I have an inside track to some very decent rims. Trying to find out for sure if this will fit my 2006 Civic Coupe.

17x8, offset=+45, backside=6.25, bolt=5x4.5

I'm pretty sure most of the numbers work but I don't know what "backside" refers to or what value is workable. ?? These rims weigh in at under 15lbs so I'm a little excited.

Any help is appreciated.

bump

Can anyone help on this? Looks like most of the numbers fit (size & bolt) but I'm still not sure if the "Backside" value of 6.25" will fit. Anyone?

Thanks.

Those sound like they would work. Backside spacing is basically the same measurement as offset, but to the inner side of the wheel. For example:

45 mm offset (~1.75") + 6.25" backside spacing = 8 inches total rim width.

Hope that helps.

Lightbulb

Ah, the light comes on. :) That makes total sense.

My only concern is if the 6.25 backspace goes too deep into the wheel well and there is any chance of rubbing. But I think I'm ok.

Thanks much.

hey if you have the civic coupe not the SI it will rub, I had fitted my sendan with 18 x 7.5 in wheels and it rubbed a lot, its gots really noisy and looses hp and acceleration, basically you kill the car, I returned the wheel to the dealer today, so i would suggest not to put anything bigger than 16 in wheels unless its the SI which can handle 18 in ones
