winter tires and rims...

ok so i'm a little ahead of myself but i have a chance to get a nice set of michelin X-ice tires on steelies for pretty cheap.
they are the proper bolt pattern but they are 15" i'm just curious if anyone else downsized when you bought winter tires/rims (obviously they are cheaper)
they are 195/65/15's
a little narrower which will help cut through the snow and the taller aspect ratio in combination with the smaller rim diameter puts them basically bang on for speedometer reasoning

i'm just curious if anyone else has done this.
please let me know
thanks
jason

wasnt a big fan of goodyear before but after a winter running these i was impressed great in deep snow ice dry/wet pavement they handled good in all conditions never got stuck and very little slidding when using the brakes even starting (manual tranny) had the grip to get going as for the car it is a csx
