Not everyone and thinks they are speed racer in a sub-200hp car.

bro - i like chrome rims (ie WORK Meister SP1) but the brand and size make a HUGE difference. I'm sorry but that pic you showed with the dubs - looks like it should have a nike swoosh or the picture of mother mary on the back window - you know where i'm going with this if you live in the valley...

THESE are *better*:

please say no to these:

well i eff'd that up ..

Chroming adds some weight and is prone to chipping whereas polishing
simply smooths out the outer layer of the wheel and adds luster. This adds no weight and some would say it actually strengthens the wheel by getting rid of and imperfections or small cracks in the outer layer of the rims.

I don't live in the Valley, so I have no idea what you're talking about.
As for the rims, it's just your opinion, doesn't mean it's right or wrong...

ur right it is my opinion - he should do whatever he wants.

as a community we're just advising him why you don't get dubs (at least on a civic)... mostly they will kill your mpg, give you a MUCH harsher ride, rubbing problems and not to mention that accelerating AND braking will suffer. if he can live w/ that - fine.

he should do whatever he wants but we're just looking out for him - especially cause the valley is littered w/ potholes and dips that will abuse those rims. probably bend and crack in no time.

i'm having some occasional rubbing issues w/ 18"s on 40 series - can't imagine what it'd be like on dubs on 30 series. and i bottomed out the other night on a driveway that was barely steep.

I thought the streets in the U.S. were way better than the streets in Canada?? The highways are nicer for sure...
