Storing Hybrid alloys for resale

After a 4 month wait I finally trade in our old IMA and pick up the new Hybrid today (UK), full leather, parking sensors, garnishes etc. I have also gone ahead regardless and changed the wheels and tyres for 16" 5 split spoke, however this does mean that I will be driving away with 4 original hybrid wheels and tyres in the back of the car.

Honda advised that I sell the car on with originals wheels (probably 3-4 years time). Can anyone advise me on how best to store them. I had planned to keep them in the loft of our garage but am not sure if I need to prep them or wrap them in something. Can I leave the tyres on the wheels, although I assume I should deflate them?

Many Thanks.

The best way to me would probably be to store it in the plastic bag and cardboard boxes the honda accessory wheels come in. This should be the best way since itll stay away from germs or anything else.

Get one of those big vaccuum sucky bag things that they sell on T.V. or at Bed Bath and Beyond. They have a ton of uses and at least you can get rid of any moisture or air that may degrade them with time.

i am just amazed. you go out of your way to buy a fuel efficient hybrid with specially designed lightweight aerodynamic wheels that help the car's fuel economy and put on wheels which aren't recommended that destroy the performance and economy of the hybrid. Why? I put the hybrid wheels on my LX auto sedan and saw a 2 mpg gain and noticeable performance gain.

Why do people put 20" rims on their cars? Why do people play music louder and louder.. losing their hearing ...
