Anyone got their 3rd gear fixed in the Seattle Tacoma area?

I take my car in to be fixed in the morning at Hinshaws in Auburn, just wondering if anyone has had a positive or negative when dealing with those guys. I made my apt and I feel like they are already giving me the run around. Wish me luck

Don't bother. I took my FG2 to Hinshaws three times complaining about the 3rd gear. Best answer I got was it's normal for the SI's can you beleive it.

I took it to Renton. They rebuilt my tranny. Never had a problem until my accident took my car out.

So far I don't have it on the FA5 but if I do I'll take it to Renton.

Oh if they don't find the problem call American Honda and complain. They will log it in their computer by your vin number. I did that before I took it to Renton. Honda said if they don't find it call back and we will get it taken care of. Believe me Honda knows its a problem. Dealers won't do anything about it unless they can recreate it on their two minute drive. Drive with them for 15 minutes until it does it. Be in the passenger seat and watch and listen. No radio no talking just keep going from a dead stop to 3rd and back down again until it does it.

Good luck.

I've had my fa5 at S.Tac Honda once already and they couldn't replicate the problem. We called again and they said the parts are on back order and if we don't hear from them to call on Tues. They won't call, they didn't last time, wouldn't recomend this dealer for the work. We are getting pretty frustrated with them.

All honda parts come in on Tuesdays. You get them on Tuesday or else it's BS.

Take it to Renton.

ok, first off stop hating on Hinshaws Honda. im not in service...but seriously. THERE WAS NO bulletin out when you came in was there??? it IS common..and without AHM providing a proper fix.... thats a common answer to have recieved.

parts come in EVERYDAY.... "tuesday"?? where are you getting ur info..AHM uses a daily stock order system to get parts. PARTS ARE ON BACKORDER for this fix!!!! IT WILL BE A COUPLE WEEKS for ANYONE AND EVERYONE!!!

im not saying come to Hinshaws..i could care less...just stop the hate. we are not out to screw people. we make money helping, so to turn away customers as you are assuming is ridiculous.

cut dealers some slack.....

/rant

*nothing personal, just tired of reading on the complaining about dealers "screwing" or "blowing" off people. LOL

I have had nothing but positive experiences from Hinshaws and I will buy my next Honda from them. The only thing I base my opinion on is the feed back I got from others in this forum that have had problems getting it fixed. I guess it was a little harsh to say Hinshaws was blowing me off I will try to keep an open mind and be patient. Hey halfNhalf if you are in sales we should talk sometime. Sorry for bashing on Hinshaws

hate to bring up an old thread, but after many phone calls and the parts becoming available, S.Tac honda did the third gear set swap for us. It took three days to get the car back it was worth it. 2-3 now feels like 3-4 which is nice and positive. All in all I wish S. Tac honda would communicate better, but the car was fixed well and came back cleaner than it was dropped off.

I've been going to Hinshaw's Honda in Auburn for all 6 of my cars. Last one I got was below wholesale. They have great customer service, they are friendly and they always call to check up on the service they do on my vehicles.
I think there's another guy at that Dealer that has a Black Si. Silver's better though

I didn't know that .. Well, you guys also took my salesman. Sean Tran. I bought 5 cars from him. I had to settle for someone else since the handsome guy wasn't working there anymore.
