I have never been in one and probably never will be in one... Having a Carport/Garage and a backyard and being able to party as hard as you want pretty much beats it all.

Now this is the info that a man needs! Thanks again fellas!

How are the police with the import cars? Are they quick to pull you over? Do they sweat people like they do in California?

Mesa is pretty bad about stuff like that, but overall it's not nearly as bad as CA.

I wouldn't want to drive more than 25-30min to get to school, so the distance shouldn't be more than a 25-30min drive. The advice I'm getting is to stay more towards tempe/mesa area. Yeah, most college campuses suck when it comes to the parking situation. Are they any apartments you recommend that are off the beaten path (the main street), to avoid the traffic? Thanks in advance!

There are two cheba huts still in Tempe and Hippy Gypsy serves glass pieces and such not sub sandwiches. lol Tempe ss the way to go if your classes are at the Main campus. I rent a nice house on the street behind Mill ave.(Tempe's downtown and hotspot) and my rent is $1050/ month but thats a threes bedroom house and I can walk to campus in 5 mins plus I can park on the street or in my driveway. I've also rented apartments and they range from mid 500s for a studio to like 1000 for a one bedroom. It really depends on how far from campus you want to be.

Thanks for the response Mafia! This is the kind of info. I need. I'be been looking around and most places to rent (1 room) is about 500 or so. I hear the Mill at downtown is a hot spot. I want to stay within a 5 mile radius to the main campus. I've also noticed that most places for rent don't come with a garage for parking your car.... any advice?

I will be in AZ, this Memorial weekend trying to find a apt. or a roommate to share a house or condo/townhome in with a garage... but it seems like the only places with garage access is in the newer home developments in Tempe, Gilbert, etc... thats kinda far from the ASU west campus.

yeah, I had no idea that ASU had many different campus locations. When I recieved my acceptance letter it said I was going to the WEST ASU campus.
