any Phoenix folks into car audio?

I picked up an ID MAX 12 Subwoofer - Image Dynamics Max 12''
locally and I can't get this to sound right for the life of me. I had it in a 1.3^ sealed and now in a 1.5 slot ported box and my XW12R hits much harder than this one. Any of you local guys running ID's? I sure would like to hear them and get some box size ideas.

The woofer is being pushed by a Kenwood X1R. Thanks in advance.

It's not the thickest wiring, but trust me, it's thick enough to carry the current the woofer needs.
