Washington Crew Film Signup and Discussion

We've all been talking about putting together an 8thCivic.com Washington Crew Film, but no one has taken any action to do anything about it. I want to get this thing going so we can make 8thCivic.com History =p.

This was the Idea that I had come up with about a week ago if anyone remembers reading it:

so i was thinking i know me, phil, probably malcom and dain are good for coming out for shoots and acting, from enthusiasm probably felly as well. I will text shawn about it later if he doesn't see this first.

anyways if we want story line here is my idea:
felly - old (not to be offensive or anything) wise guy
me - young poor racer with janky ride
phil + malcom - friends who are trying to start up a team, moderate racers
dain - rival

not sure where i was going with all the characters, mostly coming up with all of this as i go along.

basically all the roles you could figure out the story line.
2 guys are trying to start up a team. poor racer comes along and is interested but his ride sucks. up and coming team is cruising along and rival comes out of no where and completely dominates everyone on twisty roads. ashamed team goes to a meet up spot and lingers depressingly around until old wise man rolls up and notices everyone, gives advice (not sure what kind yet) and then dissapears. late date team goes back to twisty roads to practice day in and day out. one day the team is passing a place and sees the rival parked and they go up to him and demand a rematch and says said date and time (probably night run). everyone meets up and lines up (either one person vs rival or everyone at once) and out in the corner old wise guy shows up to watch the event. at the end of the race, team wins (or loses which ever one you want) and then depending on the result of the race old wise guy will roll by in his car and nod his head in acceptance of denial. if it ends in victory, team will get together and celebrate somewhere (restaraunt, house, etc.). if end in loss then team will ride away and then separate into their own directions never to be seen together again because of their broken pride.

now this can be filled without me being in it. i could do all the filming. with just one camera this could take a very long time to do. we will also need friend volunteers with cars for the last scene to make it seem like an official race.

not sure if you guys wanted to do anything like that. everything just popped into my head so i thought i'd write it down and let you guys know

As more people sign up I will be changing it around and editing this first post to keep people up to date so be sure to check the first page often to see if anything has been updated. If you do not see your name on the list of cast members then its either I didn't see it or I just haven't gotten to adding you onto the list. Be sure that when you sign up you are a dedicated member so that we will not have any complications on shooting days (ie. no shows, late, quitting, etc.). If you have any complications coming to a shoot then please let me know via pm, aim, msn, or my cell phone a day prior to the shoot so that we may schedule for another day.

For the time being we will be using Phil's HD camcorder. If anyone has a camcorder, it would be greatly appreciated if could notify me if you are willing to let us use it for filming. Some of these scenes we will have to shoot multiple times with one camcorder so having an extra one would save us a lot of time.

I will be working on Dialogue for everyone and finding places to film. The story line above is not the final idea so suggestions are welcome. Any help with dialogue and checking out places to shoot footage would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like the cartoon Initial D, but thats cool. Can I participate... I just want to become famous...LOL. But I would love to just play a role as a driver. I am not so strong on acting.

sure. and actually i was watching initial d at the time while writing this =p. it was the only interesting thing i could really come up at the moment, when it comes time for filming, the entire sotry could have changed from this original rough draft.

ok i'll keep all of those suggestions in mind. this is gonna take a while to come up with a good story line including everyone. phil wanted to start with just a few people, but why not go all out? i'll see what i can put together.
