and of course with that comes the whole omg I'm turning 30 and I haven't done crap or accomplish anything in my life!!!!
But anyway this thread is not about that. I've been wanting to do something great and exciting for my birthday. I thought about going skydiving but turns out I'm a bit too heavy to go. So tonight while looking at car videos on Youtube this idea came to mind: Porsche Rental: Rent a Porsche 911 GT3 in New York (NY / NYC, The Hamptons, NJ, CT and PA) Why not rental an exotic for a day or two. My birthday falls on a Saturday so it would be perfect. What do you guys think? Would this be a waste of money or just say fvck and just do it. In my life I haven't travel much or done many exciting things so I figured why the hell not. But another side of me says just save that money for a trip to Europe at the end of the year. So what's your opinion my fellow Civic owners ![]()

Glad I did tho |

Personally, unless you can get some track time with the car, I think you're wasting your money renting a high performance car in the states. Most places I've been to, you'll never be able to get that car half way through 2nd gear before you'll be running down some slow poke doing 50 in the left lane on the interstate.
I'd take the trip to Europe. Then, if you want, maybe rent something and head for the Autobahn? 30 ain't nothing. It is kinda weird to realize that I used to think people my age were old, but it's nothing to freak out about. I don't know why so many people seem to get hung up on it. |
